It binds reversibly and with high specificity to SERT[3][1][7]. - **[18F]-altanserin** ([fluorine-18] altanserin) is a selective antagonist radiotracer for the serotonin 2A receptor (5-HT2A). Labeled with fluorine-18, it enables PET imaging and quantification of 5-HT2A receptor binding potential in cortical and subcortical regions. Both tracers are widely used in research on psychiatric disorders such as depression, Parkinson’s disease with impulse control disorders, and other conditions involving serotonergic dysfunction[1][5][7].
